Abstracts!
June 28th to August 31st 2016

During a trip back to Ontario, Canada in May 2003, I was just blown away by
the colours and shapes of the land patterns while driving through
the Missouri Valley in Iowa. I was inspired to create these abstracted land pattern paintings.

This one was turned continually as I painted and finally to get the orientation of the two pieces but I love it!

Art Theatre
Our local artist and Governor's Art Show participating artist, Scott Freeman, will be performing at Bill Reed Middle School on Saturday, May 3rd at 1:00-2:00. This event is free and open to the public. Bill Reed is located at 370 W. 4th St. in Loveland. The piece created by Scott will then be put up for auction on Sunday morning at Osborn Farm. (see details below)

Opening Night Gala
Will be held at the Loveland Museum/Gallery on Saturday, May 3rd 5:30-9:00. Tickets are $75 and available at http://governorsartshow.org

Starting at 9AM on Sunday, May 4th the public will be able to observe 15 of our Governor's Art Show participating Artists create artwork En Plein Air. The location is Osborn Farm located at 1230 S. The Water Reflections Series will be showing at Parker Adventist Hospital as part of their Healing Arts Program, in Parker, Colorado; in the lobby in September, and in the 2nd floor waiting area in October. Reception will be October 17th , 4-6pm.

A visitor to the show Colorado Year of Water May 1 - June 16, 2012 stood looking at these paintings and I asked her "what is it that you like about these paintings?" She said: "The serenity." So I found that this opportunity to show the Series again in this hospital setting was right in line with their Healing Arts Program. I hope you will enjoy seeing them again all together; a rare opportunity!

Southwest Art Magazine featured one of these paintings in the June Issue, 2012 with a full page of edit.
